Understanding the cosmos through ancient wisdom and modern science.

Antriksa is a research community where Vedic cosmology meets contemporary astrophysics. We read the sky the way the ṛṣis did — and the way our telescopes do now — and we look for where the two illuminate each other.

01 · The word

Antarikṣa

In the Vedas, the middle realm between earth and the heavens — the atmosphere, the sky, and the cosmos beyond. The same word India uses today for outer space.

02 · The bridge

Two ways of seeing

A 3,000-year tradition of cosmic inquiry on one side; the instruments and mathematics of modern astrophysics on the other. We take both seriously.

03 · The mission

Rigor, openly

Not mysticism dressed as science, nor science stripped of wonder. Careful, testable, peer-reviewed work — built by a community that asks big questions.

Why this, why now

Modern cosmology has run into its own mysteries.

Dark energy makes up roughly two-thirds of the universe — and physics cannot say what it is. Consciousness still has no place in our equations. The largest questions are wide open.

The Vedic tradition spent millennia thinking about cosmic cycles, the nature of space, and the relationship between mind and universe. Antriksa brings those frameworks into honest conversation with the frontier of science — not to replace it, but to widen the search.

Six lines of inquiry

What we study

From the most empirically grounded to the most boldly speculative — each pursued with the same standard of care.

RA 01

Comparative cosmology

Vedic cosmic cycles and creation accounts set beside Big Bang cosmology and deep time.

RA 02

Archaeoastronomy

Computational validation of ancient texts — testing the Sūrya Siddhānta against modern ephemerides.

RA 03

Consciousness & cosmos

Vedānta in dialogue with the measurement problem and the hard problem of consciousness.

RA 04

Jyotiṣa as data science

Statistical, falsifiable tests of classical claims — reporting null results honestly.

RA 05

Sacred geography

Temple alignments, Jantar Mantar instruments, and the astronomy encoded in stone.

RA 06

Dark energy & metaphysics

Ākāśa and prāṇa as conceptual lenses for the universe's greatest unknowns.

Become part of it

This is a mission that needs a community.

Antriksa is being built in the open by people who refuse to choose between wonder and rigor. Whether you're a physicist, a Sanskritist, a student, or simply someone who looks up at night and wonders — there's a place for you here.
